Introducing Our New Blog Writer
I wanted to introduce you all to a new member of our team, Robin Revier. After putting a request in the bulletin to keep updates on this blog, she has graciously volunteered to serve the Lord in this way. She may be contacting you to hear some of your stories, so please let her know what is going on. Hey everyone! My name is Brent and I thought I would drop a line and talk a little bit about what I've heard from a few of the dedicated servants to this crpc ministry. I spoke with Sam Bordy the other day, who serves on the conte ministry team and he said some pretty encouraging things in regard to this ministry. The conte jail is a temporary facility for inmates awaiting trial or transfer. Do to the shortness of their stay Sam has elected to teach a specific doctrine each time, in the hopes each inmate might leave with something that impacts them for their continued journey. They usually spend one hour teaching and have an hour for prayer and questions. He received a great response from this and is encouraged by the results... Praise God! This last week there were a few professions of faith by a couple of the inmates. This is great stuff. In light of our broken world and even the struggles in which we find our own church going through, it is fantastic to see God using people for greater things, his glory. My hope and prayer is that God will continue to use these men and women's energy to focus on the expansion of his kingdom here on earth. Praise God for these servants and let us pray as a church that He will give them continued stamina for the days ahead!
